STRATEGIC INSIGHT FOR CLEAR, CREATIVE DIRECTION
​I'm Anna. I've worked in graphic design and creative roles for over 25 years, and I'm still loving every minute. Design and creativity are at the core of everything I do. My career spans branding, marketing, and publishing, including 12 years at a respected independent publisher, where I shaped the visual direction for over 60 new titles each year.
My portfolio includes many of these books and reflects my passion for storytelling, clarity, and aesthetic impact. As a creative director, I led an in-house team and collaborated with external creatives, often working in a consultancy-style role — reviewing and refining design work, auditing brands, and reimagining concepts from the ground up. I thrive on early-stage creative thinking: researching, exploring, and shaping strong visual ideas from even the simplest of briefs.
Much of my work in recent years has been conceptual and strategic, setting design direction, aligning teams, and building brand foundations for others to develop. I love this kind of high-level creative problem-solving and am actively growing this side of my practice through creative consultancy, brand development, and early-stage ideation work.
I’ve also spent a considerable amount of time mentoring and training other designers, which I find to be hugely rewarding. Helping newer creatives build confidence, develop their eye, and find their voice is a part of the job I deeply value, and I’d love to continue sharing what I’ve learned in this way.

A FRESH PERSPECTIVE
During my career, I’ve worked across branding, marketing campaigns, and publishing design. In my portfolio, you’ll find many examples of books I’ve branded in recent years, alongside some personal and corporate brand projects I’ve had the privilege to contribute to.

Creating a unique design for a book is surprisingly similar to the branding process. Each book is bespoke—its styling and design are consistently applied and carefully tailored to the content, subject matter, and audience. I believe my long experience in this area gives me a fresh and valuable perspective when approaching branding work.

I love to stretch my skills and often provide creative consultation and direction across multiple areas, including marketing, web design, social media, and publishing. I’m a lifelong learner and find I grow best when applying new knowledge directly in my work.
